Season Fees

Basketball fees can vary depending on the association, competition, and level of play, as each association sets its own charges. At South End Spirit, we work hard to keep costs as low as possible while still providing a safe, well-run, and inclusive basketball experience for our families.

To help make basketball more accessible:

PlayHQ Pay in 4 is available, allowing fees to be split into four manageable payments
Payment plans can be arranged on request — please contact us early so we can help
We aim to be transparent and supportive around fees wherever possible

If cost is ever a concern, we encourage families to reach out. Our goal is for every player to have the opportunity to participate and feel part of the Spirit community.

Fee Structures

South End Spirit offers three fee structures, based on the training option your team chooses. This allows us to keep fees fair and reflective of the facilities provided.

1. Team-Based Training (Own Venue)
Teams that train independently or down-train using one of our approved venues will be charged a lower fee. These teams manage their own training sessions while still being fully supported by the club.

2. Club Training Venue Sessions
Teams that utilise a 45-minute weekly training session at one of our South End Spirit training venues will have a slightly higher fee, which contributes to court hire. We have multiple training venues available to accommodate teams across our region

3. Adult & Peninsula-Based Teams (Weekly Payments)
Adult teams, along with teams competing in the Western Port, Southern Peninsula, and Mornington competitions, pay weekly game fees directly to the association using Teammo or TeamPay. These payments are managed externally by the association rather than through PlayHQ.
